은혜와 사랑만이!

“그리스도인이 망하는 것은 세상 속에 살아서가 아니라, 그 마음 안에 세상이 살고 있기 때문이다.”   – 작가 미상 –

그렇습니다. 그렇기에 우리는 세상을 비난하기 전에 먼저 자기를 돌아 보는 배려가 필요한 겁니다. 눈으로 보이는 세상이 아니라, 눈으로 보이지 않는 내 마음 안에 살고 있는 세계에 대한 고찰이 있어야 하겠습니다. 

그것은 자신이 살고 싶어하는 자아의 욕구에 의해 형성 된, 자신이 창조한 세계라고 할 수 있겠지요. 이것을 우리는 탐욕이라고 합니다. 즉, 우리는 각자가 세운 탐욕의 왕국에서 왕노릇 하고 있는 셈이지요. 

이것을 바울 선지자는 로마서 6장에서 그리스도와 함께 십자가에서 죽지 않고 여전히 살아서 자기가 왕노릇하고자 하는 인간의 속성이라고 했습니다.

“만일 우리가 그리스도와 함께 죽었으면, 또한 그와 함께 살 줄을 믿노니, 이는 그리스도께서 죽은 자 가운데서 사셨으매 다시 죽지 아니하시고 사망이 다시 그를 주장하지 못할 줄을 앎이로라.

그의 죽으심은 죄에 대하여 단번에 죽으심이요 그의 살으심은 하나님께 대하여 살으심이니, 이와 같이 너희도 너희 자신을 죄에 대하여는 죽은 자요 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님을 대하여는 산 자로 여길찌어다.

그러므로 너희는 죄로 너희 죽을 몸에 왕노릇하지 못하게 하여 몸의 사욕을 순종치 말고, 또한 너희 지체를 불의의 병기로 죄에게 드리지 말고, 오직 너희 자신을 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 산 자 같이 하나님께 드리며, 너희 지체를 의의 병기로 하나님께 드리라.

죄가 너희를 주관치 못하리니 이는 너희가 법 아래 있지 아니하고, 은혜 아래 있음이니라.

그런즉 어찌하리요. 우리가 법 아래 있지 아니하고 은혜 아래 있으니 죄를 지으리요? 그럴 수 없느니라.

너희 자신을 종으로 드려, 누구에게 순종하든지 그 순종함을 받는 자의 종이 되는 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 혹은 죄의 종으로 사망에 이르고, 혹은 순종의 종으로 의에 이르느니라.

하나님께 감사하리로다. 너희가 본래 죄의 종이더니 너희에게 전하여 준바, 교훈의 본을 마음으로 순종하여 죄에게서 해방되어 의에게 종이 되었느니라.

너희 육신이 연약하므로 내가 사람의 예대로 말하노니, 전에 너희가 너희 지체를 부정과 불법에 드려 불법에 이른것 같이, 이제는 너희 지체를 의에게 종으로 드려 거룩함에 이르라.

너희가 죄의 종이 되었을 때에는 의에 대하여 자유하였느니라. 너희가 그 때에 무슨 열매를 얻었느뇨? 이제는 너희가 그 일을 부끄러워하나니 이는 그 마지막이 사망임이니라.

그러나 이제는 너희가 죄에게서 해방되고 하나님께 종이 되어 거룩함에 이르는 열매를 얻었으니, 이 마지막은 영생이라. 죄의 삯은 사망이요, 하나님의 은사는 그리스도 예수 우리 주 안에 있는 영생이니라(Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord).” <로마서 6:8-25>

하나님의 은혜와 사랑만이, 인간이 스스로 마음 속에 세워놓은 자신의 에고의 왕국인 탐욕이라는 바벨탑을 무너뜨리고, 우리를 하나님 왕국의 영광에 참여하게 할 수 있습니다.

은혜와 사랑만이 인간의 탐욕을 극복하게 할 수 있다
